A Rendering Of The Golden Calf State

B"H - Zionist deception inevitably leads to deviation, deviation leads to Chilul Hashem, Chilul Hashem leads to divine punishment and I won't write "G-d forbid" as I wish He struck the wicked in this world to show this low generation Who's the Boss and that promises like "We will do" are meant to be kept for Heaven's sake! And for ours. I'm ever so grateful to you for photoshopping the Golden Calf State and the Religious Zionist "rabbis" dancing around it: Brilliant!

P.S. I disagree only with your hypothesis of the existence of a "real" and supposedly good Religious Zionism: There isn't one. Zionism is not Judaism. If Zionism was Judaism, wouldn't it be called Judaism?

The concept of "Zionism" is part of the Torah, the idea that the Land of Tzion is the home of the Jewish People.

The previous Belzer Rav once said, "I am more Zionist than the Zionists," then started saying pesuqim from the Tanakh in order from memory, every pasuq with the word Tzion in it.

I'm not sure, but I think the point is that everything is based in the Torah and that many (most?) of those referring to themselves as Zionists have forgotten that, if they ever knew it in the first place.

Then, of course, there are those such as Shimon Peres, who not only has no connection to Torah, but has no connection to the concept of Tzion being the eternal homeland of Am Yisrael.

Even his protege, Yossi Beilin, is not a hypocrite, when he says that he is a "post-Zionist," no believing that a Jewish homeland is necessary,...as if he thinks that's he choice to begin with (such gaivah!).

B"H - Zionism certainly is part of Torah, but it doesn't work the other way round: Torah is not part of Zionism. Besides, in Torah we are told to do All mitzvot, not just a select few we like. The other problem with Zionism is that it created a new minut, a new and alternative worship of the Land, the People and the State of Israel. In Judaism we meant to worship Hashem and do All the Torah, not what we think is good for Jews.Which is Zionism. As far as post-Zionism is concerned, it deals with a state, the State of Israel, and presents it with no Jewish character: As a "state of its citizens".
